MUSIC EDUCATION
Jim is a full-time music educator and has been a
band director and music teacher in the Bedford, Massachusetts schools for over 20 years, with almost 30 years in teaching total.
In addition to being the director of bands from grades 6-12, Jim teaches world drumming, music technology, and occasionally guitar class. Outside of school, Jim has taught private lessons on percussion and drum set, and has done beginning lessons on guitar, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and brass instruments.
Though he does not currently carry any private students, some openings could be accommodated.
Jim has given beginner hand drumming clinics to youth organizations, adult recreational groups, and to colleagues at the Massachusetts Music Educators Association annual All-State in-service conference on multiple occasions.
Jim has also been a guest speaker at Merrimack College on making a professional life in music.
